On June 22, 2019, the Spring Foreign Students of Year 2019 from Department of International Education held its first friendship activity. This activity is based on the theme of "Perception of China, learning Chinese Language well, friends all over the world".

At present, our foreign students come from 12 countries, such as Asia and Africa. They have different religious beliefs, great differences in history, culture and customs. Although they have been here for some time, they have not communicated well with each other. The main purpose of this friendship activity is to spread Chinese culture, make them understand China and know China, so as to promote communication and exchanges among foreign students, and better integrate into China and campus life. The main planners are the foreign student counselor, language teachers and foreign student class monitors.

At 3 p.m. on June 22, the friendship activities officially began in a friendly atmosphere. First of all, foreign student counselor and language teacher opened the ceremony, introducing the school and Xinle customs to foreign students, and starting from local history, introducing Fuxi culture. Then, Louis, the class monitor, made a speech.

The day coincided with the birthday of Cherry, a Nigerian foreign student. The Department of International Education prepared a birthday cake for her. With the strong feeling of singing a happy birthday song, the festival officially opened.

Then, through games such as "Seven Passages", "Secret Talk", "True Talk and Great Adventure", and talent show, the relationship between foreign students has been closer, making them have a deeper understanding of each other and China.

Finally, counselors actively guide and propose solutions to the problems and difficulties encountered in the life and study of foreign students, then the first foreign student friendship activity of the Department of International Education officially ended.

This friendship activity enriches the extracurricular life of foreign students, and provides a broad platform for students to show their talent and entertainment. Through cultural introduction, performances, interesting games etc., students have deepened their understanding of China and our academy, so that they can better integrate into China, into the group.
