According to the Ministry of Education's "Administrative Measures for the Recruitment and Cultivation of International Students", in order to improve the safety awareness of our students, the reaction time of fire and self-protection ability, the Department of International Education Joint the Safety Department of university on the afternoon of May 17, 2019 conducted fire safety knowledge training and foreign student fire drills in the International Student Apartment. Sun Zhiqiang, deputy president of the Party Committee of Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, came to the scene to guide. Zhang Tonglin, Director of the Safety Department, Cao Haifei, Associate Dean of the School of International Education, counselor Dan Nannan, Chinese teacher Gao Shengya, Li Qian, international student apartment management staff and all international students participated in the event.

During the activity, the safety department professionals introduced the fire escape skills to the students, including covering the mouth and nose with a wet towel, bending as much as possible during the escape; using the fire extinguisher and related precautions, and personally demonstrating the correct fire-fighting method; And organize foreign students to carry out practical training on fire extinguishers.

In the subsequent fire drills, after hearing the “fire alarm” call prompts from the apartment management staff in the dormitory, the students used the learned escape skills to systematically evacuate to the open space outside the building under the guidance of the staff.

Through this activity, the students in our school have mastered the knowledge of fire-fighting and emergency escape skills, which further enhanced everyone's safety awareness and improved the ability of emergency response to disaster prevention and emergencies.
