1. Introduction
With the rapid development of globalization of economy and culture, education also follows the trend of internationalization. Therefore, open education and strengthening the exchange of educational resources are inevitable tendency of higher education. According to the policy guidance of regulations of the People's Republic of China on Sino-Foreign Cooperation in Joint Programs and relevant laws and regulations of South Korea, Hebei Academy of Fine Arts reached cooperative program agreements with Honam University and Myongji University in 2012 in order to enhance exchanges of teaching and scientific researches, strengthen communication of culture and education, improve the quality of college students and expand the employment channels. Sino-Korean International Student of Straight Entrance of Diploma-Bachelor Degree is the key program of this cooperation. The number of cooperative universities will be increased.
1.1 School System 3+1
The program introduces some original teaching materials and advanced teaching methods of Korean University. In the first three years, courses are jointly taught by teachers of Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and Korean Universities, which puts emphasize on the two-way cultivation of language application ability and professional level. In the fourth year, students enter into the headquarters of Korean Universities to further improve the language ability and the internationalization level of the their professional ability. Majors are product design, digital media design, and environmental art design.
1.2 Degree Conferring
According to the state regulations, students who meet the graduation standards can obtain the diploma issued by Hebei Academy of Fine Arts of China and thebachelor-degreeissued by Korean Universities. Students whomeet the credit standards canobtain the bachelor-degree certificate of relevant majorsof Korean Universities, andthen theycanchoose toapply for master-degree andphdof the university.
2. Advantages of the Joint Program
2.1 Authority
Straight Entrance of Diploma-Bachelor Degree of Honam Universityis recommended by the Chinese Embassy in South Korea,which is signed byHebei Academy of Fine Arts and HonamUniversity. After returning to China,certificatescan be certified with academic qualifications.
2.2 Convenience
International students are provided with assistance such as registration, examination, signing, and admission, etc., all of which are properly arranged by professional staff of both schools, so that parents and students can get rid of a lot of worries.
2.3 Effectiveness
Students who want to promote their educational level would mostly choose to study in China and it takes them two years to complete bachelor-degree courses after they got diploma. The duration is 3+2 years. Students in this program spend 3+1 in completing bachelor-degree study. What’s more, there is no need to pass the entrance examination of bachelor degree courses in China, which enables students to focus on their professional study and improve their certificate level in a relaxing environment with short time.
